StarFanAI respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects users to do the same. We comply with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and similar copyright laws.

3.1. If you believe your copyrighted work has been infringed, you may submit a DMCA takedown notice.

3.2. Your notice must include:

a) A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or authorized agent

b) Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed

c) Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing, with sufficient detail to locate it on the Platform

d) Your contact information (name, address, telephone, email)

e) A statement that you have a good faith belief that use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner

f) A statement that the information in the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner

3.4. We will process valid notices promptly (typically within 48 hours).

4.1. If your content was removed due to a DMCA notice and you believe it was removed in error, you may submit a counter-notice.

4.2. Your counter-notice must include:

a) Your physical or electronic signature

b) Identification of the material that was removed and its location before removal

c) A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the material was removed by mistake

d) Your name, address, telephone number, and email

e) A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court in your district (or if outside the US, consent to jurisdiction in Sweden)

4.4. If a valid counter-notice is received, we will restore the content within 10-14 business days unless the original complainant files a court action.

5.1. We maintain a "three-strike" copyright policy:

- First strike: Warning and content removal

- Second strike: Account suspension (7-30 days)

- Third strike: Permanent account termination

5.2. We reserve the right to terminate accounts after fewer strikes for serious or repeated violations.

6.1. StarFanAI operates as a user-generated content hosting platform.

6.2. We qualify for safe harbor protection under DMCA Section 512(c) and similar laws because:

- We do not have actual knowledge of infringing material

- We do not receive financial benefit directly attributable to infringing activity

- We respond expeditiously to remove infringing material upon notification

- We have designated an agent to receive notifications

6.3. We are not liable for copyright infringement by users as long as we comply with takedown procedures.

7.1. Upon receipt of a valid DMCA notice, we will:

- Remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing content

- Notify the user who uploaded the content

- Provide the user with information about the notice

7.2. Removed content will not be restored unless:

- A valid counter-notice is received, or

- The original complainant withdraws the notice

8.1. Knowingly submitting a false DMCA notice is illegal and may result in:

- Liability for damages

- Legal action

- Account termination

8.2. We reserve the right to pursue legal action against false claims.

9.1. Users must not upload copyrighted material without permission.

9.2. Users are responsible for ensuring they have rights to all content they upload.

9.3. Users who repeatedly infringe copyrights will have their accounts terminated.
